“I refined the Elari setup on our end,” Mark explains. “Most of the implementation was already complete. We just had to dot the i’s and cross the t’s, with things like optimizing settings for balances, rates, cost centers, and the relationship between cardholders and supervisors. Then the cards could actually be put into use. In addition, I created an overview and distributed the Elari Cards to the relevant employees. FAAC has now been actively using Elari for half a year.”

New software can be daunting, but FAAC handles it skillfully

“At first, it took some getting used to for the technicians to work with the Elari app, because everything was still new,” Mark continues. “Installing the app, in particular, sometimes raised questions. Now everything is set up properly and works great. The documentation in the Knowledge base and the assistance from the support department were also very helpful in this regard. The support staff were often able to help me right away. All in all, the implementation of Elari went well, and things are now running smoothly.”

Making purchases on the go with Elari Cards is easy

For both routine and unexpected needs of technicians

“The employees who frequently use the cards at our company are mostly technicians,” Mark explains. Imagine a technician getting in his car early in the morning on his way to a project. On his tablet, he can see exactly what’s expected of him today. With the Elari Card in his pocket, he can fill up on gas and grab a cup of coffee along the way.

During his lunch break, he buys a sandwich with his Elari Card. He also pays for parking before heading out to the next job that appears on his tablet. Then he drives to a hospital to perform routine maintenance on the automatic doors, for example.

Receipts for these expenses are easy to photograph using the Elari app. This makes it quick to account for the expenses. “Technicians usually upload photos right after making a purchase. It’s just easier that way,” Mark continues. This way, the technician’s supervisor can also track what’s purchased and when.

Mark: “This process is going really well. Even though the amounts are often small, it’s still nice that we maintain a clear overview. And it’s great that technicians can use the cards to buy supplies if our regular suppliers are temporarily out of stock on a specific item, or if the technicians suddenly need something right away.”

Elari is also suitable for managers and finance staff

In addition to technicians, managers and finance staff at FAAC also use Elari. Mark explains: “The use of Elari Cards isn’t limited to just our technicians. Managers within our company, for example, regularly use the cards to book airline tickets for business trips and reserve hotel accommodations. That works very well.”

As a Controller, Mark himself also plays an active role in using Elari. He explains: “My responsibilities include, for example, managing accounts payable, assisting with month-end closing, facilitating payments, and providing support to technicians who have questions about the software.” He adds: “Personally, I use Elari to perform tasks such as the month-end closing. The reports allow me to accurately verify which transactions have taken place and to quickly identify any discrepancies and take action.”
